Comparing two blocks of text should not cost money.

The tools we all used for a quick text comparison kept moving features behind logins and subscriptions — longer texts, more modes, exports. Meanwhile the actual work is a well-known algorithm that runs in a few milliseconds in your own browser. So we built the plain version and left the meter off.

Nothing leaves your browser. There is no server, no database and no logging of what you paste. Your text is compared on your machine, and it disappears when you close the tab. Drop a file in and the same holds — the file is read locally, never uploaded.

What it does: line, word and character level comparison, ignore whitespace, ignore case, swap sides, side by side or unified view, and copy the result as plain text or markdown.

What it deliberately doesn't do: PDF, Word or Excel comparison, saved or shareable links, AI summaries, accounts or history. Each of those needs a server, a subscription, or both — and that is exactly the thing we were trying to get away from.
